Satya Brown, a retired physician lives with her husband in a cottage in the Vancouver suburbs. They are surrounded by an elaborate garden which she photographs, and presents presentations to the garden clubs In her younger years she spent seventeen years in revolutionary Cuba, where she studied medicine, worked as a physician, raised a family and lived as a Cuban. Later she returned to her roots in B.C. where she practised medicine for thirty years. Besides medicine she organized enviromental educations groups, she worked in women’s fashions, and promoted women’s self esteem. She is now retired , gives garden presetations, and teaches accordion to her grandchildren. Her most important issue now is educating the population to prevent further climate change.
